This is sort of like my newegg post and it got a lot of solid reviews so I am calling this part 2 of that thread:

I was looking for some opinions about tiger direct from my fellow forum members. Have you guys bought from there? What was your story/experience? Do you plan on buying again? How would you compare TigerDirect to NewEgg?

I just wanted to get everything in perspective before I make a purchase of 1000 dollars. Lol after reading and becoming more enthused about cpu parts my budget has increased. Meh.. ballpark is around 2000. That needs to include everything and a moniter. Thanks

More about : tigerdirect omg newegg omg

Tiger is ok. But for me thier choice is limited and their site is not as nice and friendly as Newegg is. They also tend to be a bit pricier than Newegg is.

In my opinion Newegg is the only place to get PC parts ever.

+1 for Newegg.com

I have ordered from both companies. Without a doubt NewEgg is far superior in every way. I should know, I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on products from them. NewEgg has really bent over backwards for me on more than one occasion. I wouldn't shop anywhere else! I would choose NewEgg even if they were slightly more expensive simply because of their superior customer service and dedication to their customers ultimate satisfaction. You just can't go wrong with NewEgg!

Newegg is generally the standard place to go for most everything: huge selection, easily navigated site, typically lowest or near lowest prices, good shipping and A+ customer service while the other sites, (TigerDirect, Zipzoomfly, Buy, etc.) only have occasional hot deals that are worth registering for.

I haven't bought from Tiger. Newegg's prices are usually lower and NewEgg's website is INFINITELY better.

Newegg lost my business forever. New RMA procedures are ridiculous. They wouldn't take my RMA because i threw out the old brown shipping box. I had the original msi box, just not the brown outer layer the msi component went in. I'd spend $3000 every other year with them. I won't spend another dime with those idiots. Its just a cheap dodge to get out of paying for a product. Newegg is now the badegg. Save your money. Amazon is the wave of the future. No RMA problems whatsoever. Not sure about tiger either tbh.

I still look it up on Newegg. Then I'll buy from anyone else but newegg.
