NAS with RAID 1

After reading the article today on the RAID 1m controller. A question has plagued me for a while.

In my home I have three users sometimes four.

I've thought about buying a NAS system for everyone to use that offers RAID.

NAS devices are great, homemade or store bought. It's only money, but after the check clears it seconds to setup securely. For mulitiple users you can use a simple server or xp box to setup secure shares and map drives when the user logs on to the network.
