Hello,

I'm new here, so, Hi everyone !

I recently bought a new computer and i'm having some problems with my graphic card (I think it's the problem).

While i'm playing the "Company of heroes" game, after 30-40 min of playing, the game hangs up and i get the VPU message. some time the system just reset my computer.

The problem happened to even when i was watching a divx movie.

I have the latest CATALYST drivers (6.10).

Can someone help me please ?

This is my System details:

Box: Compucase midi tower with PSU: 400W
MB: Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4
CPU: Intel P4 D 3.4GHz 800MHz
Memory: Corsair TWIN2X1024-6400 (2x512) DDRII 800Mhz
G.Card: Sapphire Radeon X1800GTO PCI-e 256MB DDR3
H.D: WD - 250GB SataII
Operating system : XP Pro

If more details are needed just ask.

sounds like a heat buildup problem, try running with the side off your case & see what happens, also check the the fan on the video cards' heatsink is spinning properly

Hallucinogen I had the same problems back on my Ati 9600 pro card. When you are inside the game it freezes and posts something like:

VPU had to reset your GPU because it stopped responding!

Anyway I choose diffrent version of Catalyst drivers and didn't have problems anymore with particular game.

My opinion is that this is with version 6.10 catalyst drivers, reinstall your drivers but previous or if there is, newer version of catalyst and try again.
