Is it possible to point programmes such as clearview/acrobat etc running on
a pocket pc to documents stored on a CF/SD card? or point/move the my
documents file to a CF/SD card so I can store more and larger documents and
not clog up the file store!

Well, yes, but... You just need to create a My Documents folder on the CF
or SD card, and go into a file explorer and delete the ignore_my_docs file.
Most every program that looks for files in My Documents will then combine
the main RAM and Flash files in the file list. Active Sync will only sync
the files in Main RAM, but you can copy to the Flash card.
