Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section!

Just wondering if anyone has successfully eliminated paying for cable or dish by going another route? After the latest price raise from my cable company I have decided to do whatever I can to get rid of it. I was thinking of getting a HD TV antenna and adding Netflix and Hulu+. What other steps should I take?

I have to admit, the worst part about eliminating cable is losing HBO and I cannot find another way to get HBO without cable or dish. The same with Showtime to a lesser degree. Netflix does not carry shows from these channels so there is no help there. I have also just read a little about Assassin HTPC but I am too new to it to fully understand its capabilities.

Any help or insight on this will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!

Same here I use just a hulu+ account and netflix streaming to get my TV fix. I did it about 5 years ago and am very happy.

So I spend about 15$ a month on TV services vs 100+ for HBO and HD crap.
