I just built a system with a p5nsli(nvidia 570), c2d e6400, and 2x1g of pqi turbo 667.

What kind of voltages should i start out and what is safe for the 3 diff settings? Should my memory be set to 1T or 2T? I made an attempt to manually oc and could only get to 10% overclock.

This is my first attempt at overclocking so I don't know a whole lot. Thanks for any advice you may have.

OK, I have my memory and all set and locked but I am unable to get past 2.35ghz with fsb at 1175. I have read the oc guide but it isn't geared to the nvida chipsets so I am not sure where to set all my voltages.

they are on auto now, temps run around 48C

Thanks for your help

I have the same motherboard (p5nsli) and processor (intel c2d e6400) as the op. My memory is 2x1GB Corsair pc5300 DDR2 667.

Since the Core 2 Duo OC'ing thread just says "Don't use Nforce570 motherboards, and don't ask why", I'm going to ask for advice in this thread. Since I've dropped the cash already on this motherboard, what procedure should I follow to overclock my processor/ram on it?

This board wont OC much past a 300mhz FSB which is close to the 10% mentioned by the OP.

1T is almost always faster, you can follow the guide but don't expect anything over 300FSB!

From my research very few people have gotten this board to anything over 300 FSB and they were experts with exotic cooling. I settled for 1:1 at 283Mhz FSB with Coarsair DDR2-675 at SPD settings (manually set) with 2T. I have not benched it but it runs Prime95 x 2 for 24 hours stable and plays Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter with a 7600GT at highest settings with no issues. There are still questions out about how much higher this board will go if the smoking hot North and South Bridges are properly cooled though. My goal was to keep voltages stock and not modify the board and I am fairly pleased with the result.

I have an E6600 on my P5NSLI. Currently I have it OCed by 10% to 293 mhz bus. Do you think I can get to over 320 with the E6600?

Results may vary but AnandTech reviewers got the E6700 to 320 (stable I assume), http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=2820&p=4.
You may have noticed how hot the North and south Bridges get. Due to time constraints the reviews of this board have not addressed this issue from what I can tell, neither have I. It may be possible to squeeze a little more from this board with proper cooling on these components but the general consensus seems to be that that is a lot af work for minimal gain. Bottom line is if you want an overclocking board, this is not it.
