can anyone recomend a good DVD+CD Writer

can anyone recomend a good DVD+CD(all in one) Writer like for example LG GSA-H22N DVD+RW 18X8X16 DVD-RW 18X6X16 Dual Layer 8X DVD-RAM 12X DVD Writer 2MB caus their is so mamy outh their with so many options im going to need it to run CD at a min of 48X32X48X for games and such as well as being able to burn at high speeds im not fimular with drives would some one be able to make a recomendition to meet thies requirments

Its been my experanice that the NEC 3550's are an excellent budget solution. They've done everything I've asked and I seeing them at Newegg for about $30.00 US. If your need is speed check the Plextor 716 and 740. Blazing fast at ripping MP3 and DVD's! 8)

I second this recommendation, the NEC 3550's are an excellent choice, I recently purchased 2 OEM 3550's off Newegg to replace a couple of dead Lite-Ons, the NEC chews through it all and is fast...hard to justify the the additional cost of a Plextor, unless you want Light-Scribe or prefer a slot load ROM...

I'm with you on the Plextors (good firmware, very good motors). On the pricey side, but worth it IMO.

I have to agree with the NEC 3550. I've had mine for almost a year and it's been great.
