As any True Met fan would do...Get Behind anyone who would crush the Phillies....And The Yankees
I didn't get to watch the game, but I saw we lost. That's OK, we got time. Take one in AZ, then take two in Wrigley.
And I'm always happy to beat the Mets! But I think that the ultimate would be if we could break our streak against the Yankees in the World Series. I would LOVE to beat the snot out of the Yanks...
Go Rutgers! Oh wait.. they got beat already.

I'm kinda looking forward to Cubs vs Indians. Even though Cleavland got there a few years back , they got their asses beat...
Cubs vs Indians would insure at least some long suffering fans would come away happy.
OSU only needs to go 8-0 and I get a free lunch, otherwise I owe someone a lunch.
They haven't been playing great except when they went up against Northwestern. They made it look easy.. you know, 3rd string in before the end of the first half.
This Saturday game will show if they're really coming together or not against Purdue. They're heavily favored but I think the O is lacking and the D is doing an amazing job.
Hey Mut, how ya doing?

Damn. Sure can move fast when he wants to.
I think a gentle breeze carried him away.
It wasn't WW then.
You're powers of deduction are astounding, you should be a copper. Scrap that, the last thing I need is an intelligent police force.
You can't use intelligent and police in the same sentence. You just can't.
Mind you, I just did [/thick]
Oxymoron?
No thanks, I just ate.
May their soul's RIP.
Not if Wingy's around...
Stupid Cubs...
May their souls be strangled and have bits and pieces extracted from them.
Go Red Sox! Actually, go Cleveland, so the game will be over and I can see the Sox game damn it. Mugz bless Directv for getting TBS HD up last week, just in time.
Stupid lousy rotten stinkin craptacular Cubs...
I need a new avitard, but not tonight.
Sox with the sweeeeeep. Broom's big enough to clean up the crap the Cub's left around.
I watched the Indians last win over the Yankees and enjoyed it. I'm not the biggest baseball supporter, but I do enjoy the odd game or two and that game was good to watch.
Those Yankees "fans" were naturally disappointed. It's a shame that Cleveland didn't win that game at home where the crowd would have been able to enjoy it too.
I want the Yanks to lose just because of their damn bankroll they have.
Are the Indians a chance in the next series? I'm thinking of backing them.
As a Sox fan, I will say the Indians are quite capable of winning. It would not be an upset if they did. A lot of fans around here already have the Sox in the World Series, but I'm not betting on it.
Wow, Lofty. Interesting.
As a lay watcher of baseball, I have to say that I was impressed with the way the Indians approached the last two games. They have a good manager, eh?
I know the Red Sox are the heavy favs -- that's why I can see great value in the Indians -- but if, as you say, they're a chance, then I reckon I'll put a few bucks on the Indians for an upset.
Are you a little skeptical of the Sox in this series with the Indians?
I'd go with the Indians as the underdogs. The Sox will have too much pressure on them to win. The Indians seem to always be a consistent team.
I haven't kept up with any baseball lately, but if the Indians made it this far, expect them to go all the way.
Looks like the D*Backs are doing for the Rockies what the Cubs did for the D*Backs.
I put $50 on the Indians to take the series with the Sox. I'm stoked because I got odds of $3-1. Cool.
Sorry your mob lost, Lofty. You were right in your analysis though.
$150 coming your way tonight Bomber.
Yeah, mate. I hope so. I'm watching the game right now. I've got Friday off and their beaming it in live on fox sports. 2-1 Sox though; they're talking about that contentious ball hitting the yellow strip on the wall.
I would rather see the Sox make it, but I can't root against Cleveland. They aren't an evil empire like (remember, I'm a Cubs fan) NY Yankees, Mets, ChiSox, St. Louis, or Houston. I'm also not a fan of Atlanta.
Yeah, the last two years have been bad for me for World Series...
As far as D*Backs / Rockies, I was rooting for AZ, but not much. I think it's a nicer area, I had some good memories out there from Spring Training last year, and there's a lot of Cubs fans out there. When I can get a vacation house or timeshare or something, it will be out there if I can do it.
Sleepy time.
Aside from Manny and Ortiz, the way the Sox are hitting, they don't deserve to move on...sadly.
I'm looking at a Sox 4-1 lead in the 8th, mate.
This series ain't over for you blokes yet, eh.
Next game's in Boston too. I'm a little concerned at this stage.
The bet certainly isn't looking as good as it was before today's game.

Ye gads! It's like you're gambling or something...
Hey Ws. ![]()
So what do you reckon, mate? Can the Sox still win the series?
Surely not, right? I mean, you'd reckon the Indians can wrap it up, eh? [/anxious punter]
I think Cleveland still has enough mojo to take one more game from them.
Fantastic. That's what I wanted to hear. [/happy punter

I still need to learn the lingo of the game as there are times that I don't understand what the commentators are on about with regards to key moments in the game.
The little round thing is called a "baseball"...
