Alright, after reading some things here I decided that I would design my system to overclock it since the core duo's appear to be such great overclockers. Anyhow, i was on a semi budget so here is what I ended up going with this based on a lot of peoples opinons and my own:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
ABIT AB9 Pro Mobo
2X Patriot Extreme Performance 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 800 Cas4 :::: 4-4-4-12
Thermaltake Big Typhoon
BFG Tech BFGR76256GTOCE GeForce 7600GT
RAIDMAX RX-450YX120 ATX12V 450W Power Supply
Western Digital Caviar RE WD2500YS 250GB

So exactly how far should I comfortably push this sucker to? Like I said I'm new to overclocking. I've already purchased these components and everything, they should be here soon. Just curious on everyones opinons.

*Edit: I read that you said "rwaritsdario: The AB9 series "stick" at 400Mhz, get the Gigabyte DS3 or S3 (P965) instead. " is this entirely true? should i send my mobo back, take the restock fee and get a new one?

You've got a Pro version and fairly new. The newest BIOS revision will most likely get rid of this old problem.

Anything over 4Ghz stable would be decent, but considering your RAM you might take it up to 4.3Ghz
