I have a new Thermaltake Aguila case and an Asus P5W DH Deluxe mobo. The case comes with two USB2.0 ports on the top and each one has a 5-pin USB connector. My Asus mobo has two 9-pin connectors but each 9-pin connector can be used for two USB ports. My two 5-pin connectors are

VCC1
DATA-1
DATA+1
GND1
SHIELD1

VCC2
DATA-2
DATA+2
GND2
SHIELD2

The mobo pin layout is similar except a pin is missing where shield2 would connect. Do I just put the two connectors together in one of the mobo's USB ports and leave SHIELD2 connected to nothing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's my first build and I'd rather not fry any of my expensive equipment.

My new system:
Asus P5W DH Deluxe MOBO
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 CPU
ATI Radeon X1950XTX VGA
OCZ 2X1024 800MHz Platinum RAM
Seagate 320GB 7200.10 Barracuda HDD
Ultra X-Finity 600W PSU
Samsung 204B 20" LCD
