I put together a computer last night, got everything installed and was working fine. This morning I transported it to where I work and now it will not power on. I pulled all non-essential parts off of the computer and still nothing. All of the fans come on, but it doesn't appear that the hard drive spins up, and the CD drive is unresponsive.

Am I going in the right direction thinking about the power supply?? I have a second one at home that I am going to grab later, just wanted other peoples thoughts.

The power supply in question is an Antec SmartPower 450.

If the fans come on, then it is "powering on."
Could there be a loose screw or other metal that has shorted something on the mobo?

Any success on troubleshooting?

I meant to get back on here sooner and update, but later in the day when I was able to get back to the computer, I reinstalled the RAM on the board and it worked, and everything has been fine with it since. I don't know what was going on, but apparently it fixed itself.

Sounds like the RAM was fully seated in the first place. Good enough for initial bootup, but transportation shook it loose. [/WAG]
