Looking for latest LS-2000 driver

I replaced my old computer with a much faster one. Now I'm unable to make
my new computer interface with my Nikon LS-2000. I using XP Home Edition. I
had XP Pro on my old computer. Could the problem be with the driver? If so
where can I download the latest driver and what is it's name?

In the Device Manager the scanner shows up under "Other devices", with a
yellow Question mark in front of it. My old SCSI flat bed scanner is on the
same SCSI bus and has no problems.

Thank you for any help you can provide,
Dave

Have you installed the ASPI Layer software? Windows XP "out of the box"
does *not* include it, it's a separate download from Adaptec's web site. It
is the "Windows ASPI Package" at

No I have not! Thank you. I'll work on that tomorrow. I have been
crawling around all night pulling all the dusty cables and re-attaching them
to my new computer. It's way past my bed time. But now I can sleep better
knowing I understand the problem. Again, thanks so much!!!

I have installed the aspi software as you reccomended. Now every time I
turn on my computer it tells me that it found new hardware and tells that
it's the LS-2000. It then gives me the option of installing it. During
the install procedure it asks me to provide disk with driver. I can't find
the driver on the two disks that came with my LS-2000 and have been unable
to find anplace to download it from. Please help.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks Laarsso, but that is a knowledge base, not someplace that provides
Drivers for the LS-2000 for download. I have spent time at this url prior
to making my post. It just leads me around in circles and does not provide
a driver for the LS-2000 for XP.

It looks like it would but I could not find it. Please embarrass me and
show me that I'm wrong.

Make sure that you upgrade the Firmware to version 1.3.1 before using
this latest version of the software. Earlier firmware functions, but
some features and modes are not available.

I've the same problem. I tried to follow the whole instruction but I couldn't arrive to any solution. The software I downloaded is declared at the origin for Windows Xp but at the moment of installation a prompt comunicate that the sw is not for Windows Xp. I can't ask ddebar if, at last, he managed to solve his problem, because he was an external user and his e-mail is not known.
Unfortunatly my computer knowledge is quite poor. Anybody could help me?
