Hey,

I'd recommend a approx. 200 MB virtual memory - and set this as the min. and max. size both. A variable size of swap file is a slight overhead.

some say 2.5 x phisical memory (128 your case)
Around 200 megs you'll find some programs telling you it's not enough (games maybe not)
Remember to defrag _first_ if you don't want your swap file in small pieces over your hard :)

If you have more than one hard drive you can allocation the virtual memory to the hard drive that does not have OS installed on. It will also improve preformance.

Two times memory set min 256mb and max 256mb then defrag.
works just fine for most programs even photoshop . The only program i have ever had a problem with was crimson skies .

If the fat lady's singing at least shes losing weight.

You may think this is overkill, but according to a friend of mine in Britain, (who is a retired COBALT programmer) if you have 32 - 64MBs of RAM ... the virtual memory settings should be 2.5 times the amount of physically installed RAM ... both minimum and maximum. (The normal rule of thumb). For 128MBs and over, use a swap file of 448MB, minimum and maximum. Yes, I said 448. This might seem like a whole lot to allocate to the hard drive, but I've found over the past year that he was right. Photoshop and MechWarrior 4 run beautifully. You can't ask for more than that. Try it ... and your computer will never page again.
