I would like to know how much everyone spent on their new machines:

Price
1) Less than $100
2) $101 - $200
3) $201 - $500
4) $501 - $800
5) $801 - $1000
6) $1001 - $1200
7) $1200 - $2000
8) I don´t know what to do with my money so I bought a machine over $2001

Origin
1) self built
2) bought in a store
3) bought it from an old lady across the street
4) self built, but some parts from my old one and from that old lady

This is just for the fun of it.

Kept the 17" monitor, speakers mouse & kb from my old PII 300 which originally cost £2400 in 1997.

My new base unit was self-built and cost me around £1500.

The "newest" (meaning the last computer I bought) was a $15 90mhz 486 that I made into a firewall/gateway/router.
Oh......I also overclocked it to 120mhz, w00t!!!

My PC cost me just under $1000 everything included but since then I've added a Geforce4 and soon another hard drive so total spent may be nearing $1500 soon :)

As for origin, self built of course!

8, although I do know what to do w/ my money. My comp (which I bought over a year ago and still runs everything beautifully) cost ~$3500. Glad I spent it, it's a mad fast one.

My frog asked me for a straw...dunno what happened his ass all over the place

Yeah, sorry ´bout that... it was just a joke. I do know that machines over $2000 dollar are the best, but that´s what makes me so jealous ´cause I don´t have that amount of money (my new pc will cost me $640 without a monitor).

If I include my watercooling I will get way over 8, although I know what to do with my money.

It is self-built and tweaked, going to upgrade it with a GeForce4 Ti4200 the comming weaks.
