A widely recognized computer builder other than Dell

I know a decent bit about computers (in terms of hardware), but have no knowledge of how to build one from scratch. Over the past 6 years I have ordered custom made computers from Dell, where they allow you to custom it according to your needs (mostly mid-high end gaming, around $2000 a system). However, I feel that dell's customer service and quality of products have slipped quite a bit over the years, and am now looking to find another well-known and reputable manufacturer (warranty and service is important to me) to build my new PC for me. Any recommendations?
