I am looking to overclock an AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 2.2 / 1 MB cache / 2000 mhz FSB / San Diego core / Socket 939.

I am on a budget. I do not need SLI. Fortron power supply of 350 to 430.
Average gamer, mostly for office productivity.

Suggestions for a good overclocking motherboard?
Suggestions for a good overclocking 512mb memory?
Is dual channel worth the money?
Onboard video a plus or suggest a cheap video card?

Spending $50 to $80 on motherboard and $50 to $70 on Memory.

Thanks for your suggestions!!!!

if you already have some of what you listed mainly.
cpu and mobo.
the corsiar xms memory is good but high priced.
all ddr memory is.

the better mobo and memory help in overclocking.

you should be able to 2.6 pretty easy with the 3700.
but it depends on memory and mobo too.

Spending $50 to $80 on motherboard and $50 to $70 on Memory.

50 to 70$ for memory will get you one stick of good 512.
it will probably take around 125$ to get 2 good 512 sticks.

the dfi lanpary mobo is under 100$ i think?

a good gpu would be a 76gt for around 100$ or the ati x800gto
is 100$ or less. in pci-e of course.

Thanks 1Tanker for the link. Very useful info. Also thanks to everyone else for their suggestions. I am going with the DFI RS482 Infinity motherboard.
