As the title goes which is the best?

I have my eye on these two currently:
D-Link Wireless 108G MIMO Router
Linksys Wireless-G MIMO Router with SRX400

Suggestions?

Or should I wait for 802.11n to get more popular.

What do you mean by "high performance" and do you care about wired routing speed (for a fiber or ADSL+ Internet connection)?

More popular? None exists so I doubt there are any popular ones. There are Pre-N Wireless devices. What the vendor thinks the standard will be when it's complete, ratified, tested and produced.

Of the budget wireless gear Buffalo makes the best hardware/software combo.

If you want MIMO

Buffalo MIMO Router/AP

Just signed a deal with Best Buy so it'll be local fairly soon but you can always get technology gear cheper online. Newegg.com
