Hi, im building a new rig for my cousin with an e6300 C2D chip and im struggling to decide on wether to buy the gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 or the GA_965P_S3 . I intend to overclock the cpu quite a bit and have heard these new boards are decent for overclocking but should i save the cash and go for the regular s3 or go for the more expensive ds3. Can somebody tell me what the difference is with them and will it even make a difference to the max fsb i can achieve.
Thanks

Well myself i have the p5w dh delux and its an excelent overclocker (cheaper than the 680i too) and i would buy that for the new system but the budget wont stretch that far. I heard good things about the biostar T Force but i cant find it anywhere so it really has to be between these 2 boards.

The difference is that the DS3 has onboard RAID and all solid capacitors. So if youre planning on keeping the system for no more than 4 years and dont need the RAID, definetly pick the S3. Same BIOS and OCing potential.
