I recently bought a bfg 7600gs oc to hold me
over till a new build is possible.I downloaded coolbits
to play with the clocks and saw the core was clocked
@420 and mem was 275.I called wreck support and
they said I had a reason for an rma, but to try a store
return first and I did.While I was there I bought a
400w 20amp on the 12v psu.This time I got a whole
296mhz out of the ram.Again I call wreck support, they
ask how I'm reading the clocks, so I tell them and they
tell me that it's an OC program. All of a sudden "That's the
speed it's supposed to run,have a nice day".They basically
accused me of overclocking, without having the balls to say it.
I honestly didn't oc sh!t,I didn't get that far. The moral of the
story I guess is avoid BFG,FRY'S,and for god's sake don't
mention coolbits to wreck support. (unless they're right and
it's not supposed run @ 400) :?:

On this one the core comes stock @ 400:

If that's the one you got, you are probably experiencing normal clock speed (not sure what the memory is supposed to run at, specs don't say).

Nah, don't worry about it man. PC hardware can be confusing at times :D

But hey if your using coolbits go ahead and OC that puppy a bit, I OC my 7900GT from XFX speeds of 1.5memory and 520 core to 590 core and 1790memory and no problems not even with cooling(i have a VGA slot cooler right under my GPU so thats why) 65 degrees is that hottest ive seen it at.

I too use Coolbits to OC my card and i love it.
