I installed the WD2500KS-00MJB0 (OEM) hard drive a while ago. XP Pro finds the Hard Drive just fine. I also installed the latest RAID Drivers for my mother board. But for some reason XP can't install any drivers for the Hard Drive. It searches my computer and can't find anything. BUT XP sees the Hard Drive just fine. It is in both Device Manager and My Computer (I can copy files to and from the hard drive just fine). In Device Manager it shows two drivers that are being used. a disk.sys and a PartMgr.sys from Microsoft. But it says these drivers are Unknown.
Also everytime I boot the computer XP finds the "New" Hardware and tries to install it again. I even tell it not check for this hardware again, but it still does it.

I e-mailed WD and they said the XP Drivers should be just fine.

I know a lot of you have this drive, so how did you get it to work with XP Pro?
Thanks

The first thing I'd do would be to take out the drive, boot up, shutdown and reinstall it. If that didn't work, I's back up everything onto the other hdd and format it.
