Hi. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on a good cooling fan at a descent price range for a Intel Pentium 4 LGA 775 cpu? thanks

If not overclocking, stock fan is fine. Unless you want quiet, then look into Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro for $24. Very good performance and mine idles at 800-960 rpm (silent) and only is audible at load of 2100 rpm (I have max fan speed at 80% or something close) Even under load it is very quiet and is very affordable.

The AC is really good. But for not so high OCs the Cooler Master Hyper TX has proven to be excellent since it cools down some motherboards components too. Notice that it seems to fall behind when you OC too much.

Its not under that name in newegg, but whats really amazing is that it works on par with the Thermalright Ultra-120 at stock speeds. When the heat increases considerably it quickly falls behind.

Bleh, pick the one with the lowest rated dB out of the two discussed ones, even that anything under 25dB is practically unaudible.
A passive heatsink would be perfect, but pricier.

... the AC Freezer 7 also directs some airflow to the motherboard.
Sadly, not very much.
True, but out off all the "tower" style coolers I believe it and a few of the Cooler Master one's are the only ones that do, but as I noted if you have good case venitilation it's not as big an issue as everyone makes it out to be. If it does become a problem, as a certain person on the forums is fond of saying, a $.50 40mm fan can be your friend.
