DDR2 533 V's DDR2 800

How much faster performance, if any, would be achieved if you changed the following setup from,

- 2x sticks of 256 ddr2 533 memory in dual channel mode,


- 1x stick of 512 ddr2 800 memory,

The above could be on either conroe or am2.

Are you planning to overclock? If so the 1Gb DDR2 800 would be it. And also it's a good idea to have 1Gb ram modules for upgradability on the future. Like Vistal would be a ram hog so 4 Gb would be needed to run games on high settings.

But he'll be starving the CPU for data because DDR2-800 in single channel won't even keep up with a non-OC C2D.
