Looking at the ASUS A8N-VM CSM with onboard video: NVIDIA GeForce 6150 or DFI RS482 Infinity with onboard video: ATI Radeon x300.

Which is the better board with onboard graphics? Which one will oc better? Or is there a decent video card under $60?

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ 2.2 1mb cache 2000mhz fsb
Patriot Exteme Performance 512mb 2CL 2-3-2-5
Thermaltake Silent Power 420w
Artic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro

Nothing has been purchased yet. Hoping to oc @ 3ghz.

Any suggestions to make this better, please post!

Thanks for your reply!!!! :D

Many people will go with ASUS, I for one have A DFI Lan PARTY SLI-DR Expert because of the OC'ing features it offers. I'D go with DFI cuz of the options. I like DFI, ASUS isnt bad either, its a very robust mobo, but in your case, i'm gonna recommend DFI for ya.

didnt read the OC to 3 ghz, people will probably recommend a cheapo mobo and that you get like a core 2 duo E6300 and overclock it mad.

Like I said I have what was once a Flagship of the DFI series mobo. And I'm currently on the verge of purchasing a new dual core AMD cpu for my needs.
THe cpu I'm planning on getting is the Opteron 180 which I believe will OC past the 3ghz line! SO whichever you perfer AMD or INtEL. People are gonna say inter cuz its new, faster, requires less energy and it simply kicks ass. As for AMD, lets just say wait till December.

I don't think graphics is an issue. You use a separate graphics card on either, which will determine the graphics end. Most DFI boards will overclock better, but a couple ASUS boards are good for overclocking. Big thing is your experience level. If you don't have the time and knowledge to sort through all the options on a DFI board, you might be better off with an ASUS.

I have a Dfi-Lanparty NF4-Ultra-D.
By far this has been one of the best boards I have owned.
If you have the time to deal with the extra options in the bios, it is a great board.

This replaced a Msi-Neo4-Platinum and blows it away.
Far more stable and more overclocking head room.

No doubt, if You are planing to go DFi, it will require some experience with bois and Overclocking, If you have little or no idea the full understanding with Frequencies, latencies, bandwidth, timings, then dont bother DFI. I'm not trying to scare you int purchasing a Asus, but will almost all DFI boards, they are the best for OCing it just requires some knowledge, and maybe and extra pair of RAM and A CPU, like me :D Learned it the hard way, and now, an eXpert.

Cant make a perfect omelet with out getting some egg shells in the mix :D

My little analogy of it.
