i got a P4 805
asus p5wdg2-ws
500w TT psu
ddr2 800 from the boys at ocz

i got my clock to 3.76 still able to get into windows.. i can stress one core no prob, but once i hit that second core to about 75% sandra crashes

i already got the core volts to 1.5325 i think somewhere in that range, which is getting too high for comfort..

is there anything else i could do to get a lil more outta this system...

3.5 @ 1.4875
ddr 700 @ 4-4-4-10 @ 2.0v

i know this is a good OC for the money, but i wanna squeeze it as much as i can... any suggestions

Drop your memory timings to 5-5-5-12 at the same clock speed and voltage and give that a shot. If that doesn't work you probably hit your limit for the board and/or the chip.

Also, what are your temps and what cooling do you have? I agree, any voltage higher seems a little too risky, I draw the line at 1.525 volts but am running at 1.500 right now I think.

Lock your memory at 667 and see how far you get that way.
Otherwise you can't be sure what's really causing the instability.

I have my d805 running daily at 3.4Ghz/170FSB (mem in sync).
I had it running as high as 3.9 (two hours of CPUBurn on each core), but couldnt run memory synchronously. Using Corsair XMS2 (forget the exact model name, too lazy to check in the case now).

Cheers

edit : NM, I didnt notice you had 800Mhz mem, in that case my comment doesnt apply.

drop the timings? rite now i got it @ 3.5 stable as a rock with 4-4-4-10 700mhz effective..

i just got ahold of a copy of cpu-z... is it bad when the vcore keeps fluxing in the cpu-z dialoge? or is that just a minor thing... if not then i think i know where my weakspot is...

water cooling
40ish after long idle 44C norm
62 on load, 65 on exxtreme load i.e. stress test..

but i thikn i have found the culprit, and its either my wall socket, or my psu, but thats a rock solid psu.... so im not sure any suggestions
