Looking for a different card

Not quite up to the platinum edition in performance, but close and ahead in features. Sub $125 PCI-e is 7600GT territory IMO.

A little to pricey - half way between the 7600GT and much much faster X1950 pro.

Anyway, I say grab a 7600GT. If it must be ATI the X1650XT and X1800GTO are about equal. Otherwise $190+ gets you up in the X1950 pro range, which is a much better card.

Interesting. Have you seen any reviews or benchmarks? :?:
Here ya go: http://firingsquad.com/hardware/ati_radeon_x1650_xt_preview/default.asp

The hard thing will be finding a X1650XT in stock as they are supposed to be in stock next week. Anyway, You'll see if you look at enough reviews, the X1650XT and 7600GT trade blows and overall are about equal performers. X1800GTO is about the same also when we talk stock speeds. Also this review comes in handy as they throw the X1950 pro and 7900GS in so anyone looking at the 7600GT/X1650XT/X1800GTO class card can see what extra performance those cards give.
