Hi all. This is my first post :)
So, here is my configuration .

Gigabyte DS3
E6300
A-DATA DDR2 800 MHZ .
Cooler Termal Take Golden Orb2.

Since i dont have memory to go over 900 Mhz i raised the Fsb to 400 mhz only , so the memory will work at 800 cl 5-5-5-15. I tryed 430 Fsb , cpu speed 3000Mhz , is workign fine, but for 24/7 i think 2800 is fast enough and safe :)

MCH +0.2V
Cpu : 1,375
DDR + 0.2V

Here are my questions :

What temperature is dangeros for the Cipset(MCH) ?
For monitorig i am using Easy Tune 5, from the mainboard CD.
So, after about one hour with 2 Prime95 or with Orthos i get a maximum 64 Cpu temperature and 44 System temperature . Is this Ok?

System temperature refers to northbridge MCH ?

And what is TAT ? i read in every post about it ? can someane post link from where to get it ?

And that would be all 4 now :p

I didnt need to raise mch voltage to hit 400fsb with my ds3, just make sure you have air blowing on the passive chipset cooler!

64 with easytune would probably be 75-80 with coretemp, getting close to the limits.... That cooler is really not adequate for OC, you need a bigger heatpipe cooler unless space is the issue.

Is working at 2.8 with stock voltage on cpu, but i raise it a bit just to make sure:p
SO ,what programs do you sugest i should use to monitor the temps ?

Any link to that TAT ? i cant find it on google :(

Here is the result :)

Temp from Easy Tune 5 : 62-63
Temp From TAT : 67

What Tjunctions means? its alwayse at 85

I run 3d mark 2006 cpu speed in loop then i ceck into Temp Log.log and the maximum temp wos 62-63

And i have a question. Core #0 temp is higher with 1-2 degrees then Core #1 until it reach the max stabile temperature.. then bouths have same value ( 67 max)
When i stop the test also , Core#1 is geting cold faster with a diference of 1 degree compared to the othe core. Finaly Bouth Cores get ~ 52 with TAT in iddle with fan speed ~ 1200 ( i use smart fan On from bios ) . In full load is running at ~1650 rpms

Definitely get a new Heatsink Fan. Try a Zalman, a Scythe, or an Arctic Freezer (if you're on a budget).

It should allow for even more overclocking and a much safer temperature.

First try reseating the heatsink before spending money. I just built a C2D system that was runing hot at first. I reseated the hetsink a total of 4 times before it felt right. It seems as though I was using too much paste. Once I applied a very, very, very tiny layer the temps came down to acceptable levels. Use Core Temp to monitor temp. One other thing to keep in mind is that the temp diode on the C2D is more accurate than previous chips. So, don't freak out unless it's hitting 70C.

System specs
E6600 400Mhz x 8 = 3.2Ghz 1.25v
A-data ddr2 800
Giga-byte S3
MSI 7600gt
Seagate 320GB
