Hey Everyone
I Have This Problem Since 4 Month
whenever i turn on Num Lock Key
the keyboard starts writing numbers instead of letters
the letters r almost transmitted from num pad to key pad
as an example:

if the num lock is turned on
the letter j = 1 .. k = 2 ... L = 3 ... u = 4 ... I = 5 ... O = 6 ... P = *
and so on ...
it drives me crazy and couldnt figure any solution except turning the numpad off
I'm using a DV9295 HP Laptop with Windows Vista
i tried formatting ... recovering ... downlaoded spyware doctor ( if it was a spyware ) ...
none of these seemed to work for me ...
CAN U HELP ME PLZ ?! im desperate
thanks for the help

on a laptop it is meant to happen . Just don't put number lock on if you don't like it , and it is not spyware or anything like that.

IT is not "meant to happen" - my dv9700 number pad worked flawless for 3 weeks - then went wonky - for 20 months. Then one week ago - it operated normally - like when it was new - then yesterday - reverted to the same hijinks (requiring manually lock/unlock numbers = frustrating) - I can only assume there is a conflict with some other driver or something -and hp could not care less... also have been without the "quickplay" media strip functioning - except for 2 weeks ago - it functioned - then quit a few days ago...

my next purchase - ABHP - Anything But HP!!!!
