Which one is the best???

ATI RADEON 9800XT 256mb
or
ATI RADEON X1600 PRO 512mb

Because my old 9800XT is now VERY hot and it might explose soon.. so I'm wondering if the x1600 pro is better than my 9800xt..
Because one of my friend want to give it to me for free..

I would say pretty equal overall, trading blows depending on the game/settings.

The X1600 is better, but by a very slim margin. As others have said, in most games, it would be a toss-up. If your 9800XT is getting so hot, though, you might want to look into an aftermarket cooler.

Yeah but it's free and I don't want to put $$$ on a computer I paid 3000$CAN three years ago...

Anyway... now I don't have money anymore to buy computer parts since I'm in university...

So you guys understand I am just wondering if it whort my time for the installation

I'm only playing WoW now...

I like FPS, but they cost just too much computer money to get decent gameplay...
