Is their any difference between this card and the X1900XT besides the higher memory clock? Does the HIS version have a superior cooler? HIS is known for installing their own coolers on ATI cards, but this XT seems to have the same one as all the others. Finally, will existing aftermarket air coolers (like the Accelero X2) work with this new card?

If the HIS card comes with the Ice Q cooler, then yes, it's one of the best.

Some HIS cards do come with the same cooler as other cards.

Here it is on Newegg, seems to be the same stock cooler with a sticker. Looks like I'll go for the cheaper Sapphire, despite the ugly robot woman :).

I have not seen a IceQ X1950XT yet. That would be a nice card if they make one and it's under $300.

1. The only difference beetween the X1950XT and the X1900XT is the memory clock. This means more bandwidth for textures, but with only 256MB u dont really need more bandwidth. (Thats how they make sure that ppl still buy the X1950XTX)

2. Dont even think abt the stock cooler. It will never be as good as a 20$ Accelero X2 or VF900.
