I am looking at upgrading to a 680chipset motherboard and wondering if its worth installing my audigy 2 or using the onboard sound.

Basically which is better quailty?

I am not an expert(and pretty ignorant about your question) but I would be extremely surprised if the onboard sound is better than the Audigy 2(which comes in a separate pci-slot and costs a considerable amount of money). Someone correct me if I´m wrong.
