Got a strange problem, everytime I recover from stand-by, my IDE harddrive and DVD Rom seem to disappear, had to reboot the computer to let bios detect them.
My motherboard is the P5wDH, SATA mainboot, AHCI enabled but set to basic.

Sounds like a mobo issue. Check for latest drives and bios versions.

I have the same problem with new Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS4. After resume from standby the IDE DVD drive disappears until next reboot.
When resuming from hibernation everything is fine. IDE controller on te mobo is IT8213.
System is Windows XP Pro with SP2 and all updates except the SP3.
Any ideas what causes the problem?
