What is the best prosedure to follow when flashing your bios?

0. always be sure that the BIOS file is appropriate for your hardware
1. make a backup of your old BIOS
2. don't execute flash util and don't load BIOS file from a floppy or other sensitive medium.
3. if you are doing from Windows, close all other apps
4. don't flash BIOS on an overclocked system
5. after flashing turn off your PC and wait few minutes before you turn it on again
