Hi There,

Around Christmas I will buy my new parts:
- Intel Conroe C2D E6600
- Nvidia 8800GTX
- 2x 1Gb PC6400 DDR2

What chipset will be best with this configuration?
I think I must choose between the 975X chipset... or the Nforce 680i Chipset... or is there a better one to choose?

When you look at the mainboards... I think I have to choose between these:

- ASUS P5N32-E SLI (Nforce 680i)

(I also found the Asus Striker Extreme... is that one better then the P5N32-E?)

- ASUS P5W DH DELUXE (Intel 975X)

Anyone any idea which one I should take?

Thx.

Well, if you are going to wait until X-Mas, then wait around for some more 680s to come around and give you a better price and selection. If you get it now, go ahead and get the 680i if you have the money. You can upgrade to SLI later on, since you look like a big spender.

Well.. I'm gonna order the parts in 3 weeks... so I will check out which mainboard is best to buy then... but the best choice is clearly the Nforce 680i chipset. Nice to know.
