I just really popped in to say hi and see if any of you were missing me but you obviously aren't!!! No special thread like "Where is TV?"

Anyway, I'll be off and on in the next few weeks while I gwt my head sorted around my up coming court case to get my little boy back from his dad. Even AV doesn't reckon he'll be able to be too close when I drop the little man off this evening as the screams will upset him too, and I'll be needing a good strong hug after that.

Luckily, in a way I suppose, Ieuan is saying things in school and his demeanure (can't be arsed to spell check, still pished) has changed for the worse, so I have the school on my side for my baby to come home. I have more info elsewhere and update regularly, harangue Tom or Mikey if I'm not around and wny of you want updates. Other than that AV and I are frequently on the phone together and is with me for a few days so will be able to answer questions.

I really hope you lot are missing me, I may have to put those whips, chains and PVC suspended stockings away if you aren't!!!

That's a retarded statement.

You create your own destiny. Fate is for lazy people who don't want to do anything. Thus they create their own destiny. Therefore, fate does not exist and "Things just have a way of working out in the end" only work out that way if you work for them to turn out that way.

Unfortunately, no one is in complete control of their destiny, right and wrong do not matter in real life. sometimes your fate is decided by events outwith your control.

I Wish i could say something supportive to TV but empathy is not built into me, anything i say would be because i think it should be said rather than because i mean it. Also, i do not know the situation personally and so cannot say what would be the right outcome.

I'll argue you can control your destiny. Anyone who doesn't believe is ignorant of their own being.

Areas do exist that are uncontrolable: Random killings and such and freak of nature events. Though for the other 99.9% of people who will never experience that, you can control your destiny.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad is a prime example of this.

if i slam into you while you are crossing the street and you cannot do anything about it, how are you controlling your destiny. yes, you decided to cross the road and it was your choice to take the risks bt it was my choice to drive so dangerously and/or deliberately smash into you to prove a point.

Ok retard.

Let's assume you life a standard life and die of natural causes. You control your destiny. Most people live a full life in the civilized world.

You pick and choose what you do, how you do it, how you act and react.

You create your destiny in the moments of decision.

I think that you can't control your destiny, but you can definately influence it.

@TV - Good luck. I hope it all goes well for you.

Reply to exit2dos

your version of controlling your destiny relies on no outside intervention in your life, however, no action is still an action so even by not intervening in your life others are still acting upon it bt not, if you get what i mean.

still, considering you obviously believe you are controlling your destiny, may i ask you why you are wasting this ability arguing over pointless details such as these instead of doing something purposeful?

e2d: Nice one.. Not sure if you're aware but everyone lives in 2 circles: Circle of Concern and the Circle of Influence. At least you being aware that you can influence it, taking it a step further you can realize you can control your destiny. One door may close, another opens, but they all lead. You can get to the point you want to, the path may not be the way you thought you'd take though.

The Google Founders originally wanted to start their business and sell the technology they created to other companies to use. Something came along and made them not want to sell it. Had they sold it they would have looked like fools. Instead, someone influenced them to not sell the technology.

You can influence things around you to better suit you. You can also control how you react to everything in your life to create your destiny.

Ever see people get pissed off over stupid things? What if they reacted differently? Entire lives they get pissed off over stupid things. That's a choice and they keep making that choice. They decided to react that way.

Your destiny is created in your times of decision. Its actually a really popular statement.

The worlds greatest minds get together yearly at TED (Technology, Entertainment, and Design Conference). Largest gatherings of the greatest minds and the most influencing people in the world. Nobel Peace prize winners, CEOs of the world's largest companies, etc, gather. They all believe you create your own destiny.

You alone succeed or fail. Your choices define your life; Your decisions lead you to your destiny. Begin with the end in mind and you will get there.

Its really a hard concept for people who have settled in life to grasp. Thus my signature states:

Quote :

In life you need either inspiration or desperation.

Those emotions are the only 2 emotions that drive change in anyone's life. Either you are inspired to do something, or things have become so bad you're desperate and make change.

Too often people make change by Desperation.

Nice example. Most don't realize that others can't make you angry. Anger is a choice. For example: If Wingy comes home and finds the entire Other section in bed with his wife - he needs to realize that it's not our actions that make hime angry, anger is what he chooses to feel due to his internal (pre-programmed) decision.

Enlightment comes with erasing one's pre-programming. However, it can be one of the hardest things to do as many disasterous, self-destructing behaviors and beliefs (such as guilt, intolerance, etc.) are all programmed in us rather deeply by the church, family, teachers, etc. throughout our developmental years.

Tom my good man, how have you been???
Still buying those lottery tickets and booze on your giro pay?

Good morning Chunt Funter.

You should have concentrated on sorting yourself out a little more. Giro pay? How very dare you, robbing post offices is so passe.

Darn foiled again.
I really should trace who's been spending thousands on my cc.
Have any idea who would do such a thing Tom?

Reply to Dirty_Barry

Good morning Chunt Funter.

Me, I would do such a thing. A fool and their money are there to be separated.

Hope this helps.

Reply to Tom_Smart

Now that you come to mention it is their any post offices to rob now? Is that why you've resorted to persuade Will Smith to grow flowers in his belly button?

Reply to Dirty_Barry

Good afternoon Chunt Funter.

Don't worry about it.

Tom.

Reply to Tom_Smart

Llama man is worse though, you get a whole report on why that mistake was made and what could have been done to avoid it...Then he'll mark his own work on the performance of how well the report was written.

Least you just jest at the fact I'm a chunty.

Reply to Dirty_Barry

Good afternoon Chunt Funter.

Llama man only points it out when necessary. Mostly when the error is cosmical or some clown is trying to be far too clever. Phucky's posts, and a few others here, are all lacking punctuation and capitalisation. It's deliberate and just to save time, not a biggie.

Tom.

Reply to Tom_Smart

Don't worry bout that; I'll never be far too clever for anything.

On her back, by her ankles, tied to the ceiling. She's pretty busy.

Remember that chick Howard Stern was promoting that wanted to sleep with 1,000 guys in 24 hours...
