What's the best way to ensure that my chipset drivers and hardware are working OK? Memtest86 seems to be for RAM alone, and Prime95 for CPU. I've tried burning in with Sisoft Sandra.

AMD 64X2 4800+, ASUS A8N32-SLI, Corsair 1GB X2 3500LL, nVidia 7600GT/256M, onboard AC97 sound, Logitech G15 keyboard, Antec 500W PSU.

Thanks, Bruce.

prime95 is always a good tester for stability... i mean there isnt a program out there that will test the northbridge itself.. there are programS out there that will test the components of the northbridge. such as prime95 to test the FSB and the HTT. and then theres 3dmark to test the pci express lanes and the such and memtest86+ to test the northbridge to DIMM (intel). if you run all 3 of these tests for about day and they are all stable with no issues i'd think you'd be ok.

Thanks. By running 3dmark, do you mean to obtain a score and compare it against similar systems on the database- or is there a pass/fail test similar to mem86 that 3dmark offers?

Thanks- Bruce.

Thanks on the 3d mark tests. I'm about to try the score.

When I first run it and it scans my hardware and reports, I'm seeing 2 video devices, however I only have 1 installed. I do have 2 monitors connected to this one card, is that what the 2 video devices is referring to?

Thanks for the help.

Bruce.
