#1: do i need to change DDR2 675 to 800?

#2: do i really NEED a good branded PSU?

nope. unless your oc-ing you dont need ddr2 800, 667 (never heard of 675) will be fine, 533 will work as well.

#2: do i really NEED a good branded PSU?

Technically, no the pc will still function with a crap psu, although you may as well just take a hammer and beat the life out of your comp. right now. eventually the psu will die and will take all your components with it. and you dont want to under power a pc either, short of completly destroying it (hammer, junk PSU ect), under powering a system is the worst thing you could do to a pc.

#3: any recommenndd parts?

um, since your doing CAD work maybe a quadro or firegl card? if thats not in your budget, maybe a bigger drive since you said your going to be editing video.
