Ok, Ive been using windows xp for 6 months or so, it came with the comp, so I
did not install it myself.

But sometimes all of a sudden the entire system becomes mute. as in now
sound what so ever, you pop in a cd or another type of media, click play and
still no sound.

you have to restart the comp to get your sound back...

ive noticed this poblem about 1.5 month after the purchase.
i havent installed any new sound cards or any new devices.

can anyone please help me out?

thanks
- Bill
