You win for style and wiring, but my Ultra Aluminus (Silver) will hold a GeForce 8800TGTX :p
November 14, 2006 3:16:50 PM

A little outdated, soon to be way outdated.

Two BFG 6600GT OC's with a horrible wiring job. Better wired now, will have water kit in sometime in the next 10 days, and a single 7800GT OC with Zalman VF700Cu and UV lights with red accent.[/img]

So that server room is technically a case with wicked airflow? Floor vents and all, that's pretty badass. Is that Blue Gene?
November 14, 2006 3:27:18 PM

This is close to what mine looks like. dont have picutures available.

What are the specs on your mini-itx PC? I am going to build one into a cigar box next summer I think. Not sure which CPU I'm going to use that can be cooled effectively and quietly.
November 14, 2006 3:52:58 PM

Just visit mini-itx for all the ideas you need. Infact, I think the cigar box has been done already. Do a search.
November 14, 2006 4:01:33 PM

Bah, you are right. I thought I had a unique idea. You have any cool ideas that you want to be seen done? I'm looking to do a real cheap build, just an internet browser/music player.
November 14, 2006 4:07:32 PM

Yes. I always thought it would be fun to have a case plant. I have seen it done once before... a LONG time ago.

Build the case inside the pot of a large plant that sits in your living room.
November 14, 2006 4:13:24 PM

That would be pretty cool! Do it! I want something small and easily portable.

I have a pretty cool idea, need to look more into it and see how much it will cost and if the board I want to use will fit. I want an Intel/AMD based board, not the ones with built in Cell processors or the like.

My idea may even fit a micro ATX if it is small enough, as what I plan to put it in is flat, but very thin.

Not going to share yet, I want it to be unique and don't plan to start the build for a few months :)
November 14, 2006 4:27:45 PM

and when watering the plants? have a seperate compartment underneath?

Ara
November 14, 2006 4:35:56 PM

Yes. cut pot into halves. Top part for plant, botom for computer. Simple easy.
November 14, 2006 4:37:54 PM

Here's mine. Looks nice but it's getting outdated.

November 14, 2006 4:38:09 PM

Pot inside PC... however, the PC does not work, and would probably need a couple thousand watt PSU...

Yeah, that pic is Blue Gene, they probably keep the room fairly sanitary (probably not hospital quality, but close) and cool... wonder how loud it gets though... shrug

I would post a pic of my PC, but I'm sort of lacking in the camera department... and the PC department, considering I'm planning a build for this christmas. However, if you want to see my current PC, its a 2+ year old ABS gaming PC, still runs fine though, and I have more storage than most households combined =P

I like the NEC earth simulator myself.

DoughBoy is one of the Blue Genes I think
November 14, 2006 4:40:41 PM

Now that's a pc mod! :D
November 14, 2006 4:58:31 PM

Here are some "Cool" pics =)

Top mounted 120mm fan

Notice my little fan on the NB (thx wusy). That Video cooler is the KuFormula VF1

This whole project took me an hour and a half. My temps dropped 6c 8O
November 14, 2006 5:02:53 PM

Getting old as well but I have an E6700 sitting on my desk and just waiting for a new mb, ram and vid cards. The guts of this one will move into a HTPC.

Coolest computer ever made (not my pic, unfortunately. I always wanted one of those ED2K toys!)

Some people hated these. I think they're totally r0x0r.

My PC doesn't have sides and is basically just devoted to storage, with some big ugly hard disk fans and a love it/hate it orange TT CPU cooler. Apple satisfy all my aesthetic computing desires...and my PC is the polar opposite!
November 14, 2006 5:37:57 PM

NO... APPLE... NO...

EYES... BURNING... BURNIN... I'M MELTING!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, Waylander, I like all the piping you have, but how many loops are you running? At least 2 right... thats a ton of tubing...

Meh, when I burn money, it all goes into HDD's. Wonder how feasible it is to run a file-server... probably tons more than I can afford =P...

8 HDD's and 1.8TB of storage and counting.

1 TB anime/manga, 300G Games, 400G Movies, 100G music and others

Is that 300,000 games? 400,000 Movies, 100,000 music?????????

5 hours per game thats 171 years of playing games.
November 14, 2006 6:16:39 PM

Nothing Fancy but its my baby :)
November 14, 2006 6:16:50 PM

Actually, I think you are confusing some of my split wire loom (power cable covers) for tubing. There is only one loop: reservoir>pump>rad>cpu>gpu1>gpu2>reservoir

The rad is inside the case behind the front flow through screens of the case.
November 14, 2006 6:41:29 PM

Well all your mods look cool, the big servers are cool. The Dryer duct vent mod is sweet. i also like the ITX pc thats awsome.

Keep posting :)

Mr. Shata obviously has NEVER heard of "JPG Image Compression" nor "Resizing images for the web". Small tip for you fellah: stop abusing dialuppers with your lack of knowledge. Even at the end of my 10Mb pipe, those images of yours did NOT fly in. READ UP FOOL!

As to my rig: Hi-Res, 73KB, heavily compressed JPG. It's quiet.

November 14, 2006 8:10:37 PM

Cool looking computer?

What's next? Good tasting bicycle?

The only thing uglier than a plane computer case is all the functional pieces inside. Cover it up and stick it under the desk.

(just my $.02)
November 14, 2006 8:13:29 PM

I like the look of the cooler. Is it sturdy side to side?

And i hosted them on my server so if i wana use my 1.5tb bandwidth like that leave it to me k?

This is very cool looking. I love the blue neoglow. And the red mobo sets it off just right.
