No, a change from 32 bit to 64 bit or vice-versa requires a clean install of the OS.

thanks, Hawkeye22

I figured this was true but needed conviction.

I have 6GB ddr3 installed / and a OK I5 cpu, but widows 7 ultimate / system pg reads 6.00 GB (1.99 GB usable) so? I'm looking for away to have more memory recognized. If you know of a way let me know back? I've heard that 32-bit should recognize max. 3GB but I'm only getting 1.99 of total 6GB now
