Hi all,
ok, I want to get 2GB of RAM for my new system, I'm building it right now and allready bought the Conroe E6600, Gigabyte DQ6 Mobo, Gigabyte 3DAurora 570 case, I will probably get an ATI X1950XT\XTX can't decide between 256MB or 512MB and I guess I'll go with the Corsair 620W PSU...NOW, my problem is the RAM, I can get the G.Skill 2x1GB 800mhz HZ or the Mushkin 800mhz Model 996523 ( it has a great timing of 4-4-3-10 )
I'm from Israel and here both kits cost almost the same ( Mushkin's like $20 more ) So, Which one should I buy ?!
Another thing, the E6600 support 1066mhz, my new DQ6 also support 1066mhz, so, If I'll overclock the RAM to 1066mhz trying to keep the timing low ( I read that G.skill can do it in 4-4-4-12 and Mushkin can do it even with lowest timing ) Will it be the best for my system ? I read that all the component should be running at the same speed in order to get the best out of it...Please help me understand !!
You should also know that I don't know anything about OC...I don't even know what 1:1 Ratio is so when you're answering, try to be clear...
Please, try to answer ALL of my questions...
Thanks a lot All !!!!!

Just from that we know you're new to OCing =).

1066 is actually 533 in dual channel(not exactly but simple enough,...)
So any memory over 533 is almost useless unless you OC.

If you bring your CPU bus to 333 you will have 3.0 ghz CPU, if you bring it to 400mhz (DDRII-800, what your ram is rated) you will have a 3.6ghz cpu(probably need after market cooling for that!)

I like mushkin better then G.Skil dont know what chips any of them are using, my guess is tat both will do fine.. maybe some1 elese can answer.

Can't you get a 8800GTS pretty close in pricing to the X1900XTX...just saying
