I can't get DSL for certain reasons, so I need a slow internet alternative to survive . One of my friends has basic, fun-filled, dial-up along with a 56K modem, but has told me that his internet is faster than basic dial-up. When I asked him why, he replied that he has a "copper wire." When I asked what a copper wire is, on the other hand, he told me he didn't know. Does anyone know what a copper wire is? Does it run from your computer to your wall, or is it some alternative dial-up that you pay a monthly fee for? Does a copper wire exist? Why do I not have DSL? Please respond. (Please?)
