Yo peeps

Wondering about upgrading my graphics card, currently running the radeon 9800 pro but fancey moving on. The cards running fine but aint allways smooth on the later games like COD2 etc on full spec or at least high.

I saw a review from 2 people who had upgraded from the 9800 pro and se editions to the X800 GTO and they said its a fantastic card but i aint completely sure.

Anyone know what i should do?

Cheers

Well that would definitely be a step up in performance from a 9800Pro.

Ditto, that's a worthwhile upgrade.

You could spend a bit more and get an X850 on the cheap now. I own one, so I know I'm biased... but...

I've thrown new-ish stuff like BF2142 and Dark Messiah and Roboblitz (Unreal 3 engine 8O ) and it did them all pretty well. My rig is similar to yours, though, except for the GPU. I highly recommend it.

I would definitly recomend the X850pro if the OP has $140 to spend, if not the X800GTO is a great upgrade as well.
