Here's a strange thing that occured to me yesterday.

I just finished putting my buddies system back together and the "3" individual 80mm fans on the case didn't light up anymore. The fans run, but the lights are not on. I would think maybe it's a power issue. The fans are running, but there's no light from LCD's.

Here's the case and new power supply we just bought. The 3 fans are the 80mm's on the side. They each have their own individual plugs. I tried just one fan on a rail that had no other component and still the same results.

Please list all the system specs along with the specs on the power supply, especially the amps on the 12v rail.

Also, try connecting the fans to a different computer psu to make sure it's not the fans themselves. The other thing you can do is plug only the fans in, remove all drives video cards... etc except for the motherboard connections, it won't post but you'll see if it is a power issue.

Damn! I want some LCD fans too! Can you watch a movie with them?

All joking aside, the fans could very well have been close to death anyway. In my experience, the fan lasts longer than the lights on it. Usually companies dont use the greatest quality LEDs anyway. If it bothers you that much, get new ones.

Hmmmm... all 3 fans are 80mm LED's, or only one of them? And did they all stop working after you re-did the comp?

If that was the case... then it's a very strange problem...
