Nobody is saying anything on that one. They have however started to audit our stocks of STB's and modems as we've finally realised that they are going walkies. Next step is going to be to collect old kit. They will probably hide this behind some Eco policy or something but they hope it will reduce the number of none allocated boxes in circulation. In business we often tell customers to just bin kit as it is not economic to collect a second hand cisco.

The latest slap in the face is this whole COSAR** database farce you might have seen in the weekend press.. Ofcom are going to give them a right spanking for that one. Great that I spent most of my time there working on the listings systems (non COSAR) prospective employers are going to love that on my CV

**COSAR is the 999 (911 to you yanks) database and the phone company is required to register all its numbers on the list so emergency calls can locate addresses just from the phone number.

I'm in better shape at 33 than I was at 23. Having seen both my parents diagnosed with Diabetes and my farther have stents installed I'm taking it a bit more seriously than I used to. Yes I do still smoke and drink but I'm on a fairly low fat diet and keep pushing the miles on that bike. No red meat other than meals out (rare nowadays) and most of my journeys on foot.

The chances of me not being able to retire are more likely financial than physical.
