I recently bought a PNY GeForce 7900GS (450/1320). It came with Hynix memory chips of 1,4ns. So the "normal" clock is about 715MHz right?

I want to OC via BIOS to make it permanent, but before that I'd like to know if is there any risk in doing this. I want to make a small over, about 500/1400...

I have a 420w PSU with 18A in the 12V line..

thanks for any help and sorry about my english... :p

Yeah, the PNY has some of the lowest clock settings on any retail 7900GS available. You should definitely be able to break those limits on stock cooling alone - see if you can break the 600/1500 mark :)

I have an eVGA 7900GS KO but as of yet I'm not rushing into any overclocking. Apparently they do that very well though...

I've OCed with coolbits to test some frequencies and then I turned it permanent by changing the card bios. Now it's running at 500/1400 without any problems.

Do you know how far I can go, without any problems, in this VGA?
