just before i install win 7 home premium edition, I had read somewhere, that you can tell the CPU (AMD +6400 x2) to use both cores for a faster startup and proscessing. I did copy it but its on the old hard drive and I cant seem to find it, kindly reply at Flooringuy@Aol.com , Thanks

You don't need to do this. Windows will, by default, use all cores (physical and logical) available on the cpu. Setting the option in the msconfig panel can, in many instances, lower your boot time, and overall system performance. If the checkbox for "Number of Processors" is not checked, leave it as is. If it is checked, uncheck it.
