I joined this community this month to troll around and get a sense of what's what for current trends. I am a semi-retired individual, raising my kids, and playing golf. I was approached last month by a couple techie-nerds in my small town about financially backing them in a computer repair/modification shop. They are truly gamers in every sense of thew word, and I believe that they could do well, but they are lacking start up costs and business savvy. My questions are:

1) Is it viable?
There are a ton of kids in this town that are into computers. I should know...I used to own the local skateboard shop, and have practically raised these kids myself.

2) Who and where are the wholesale vendors for modding supplies and hard goods that will appeal to these kids?

3) What are the potential start up costs??

Feel free to enlighten me with pros and cons
