Actually, Mustek has likely updated the drivers since the scanner came out
which doesn't necessarily mean it's being supported in XP or if it is, that
it would work in a multi-user environment.
That said, if you are installing software bundle with your scanner, it is
unlikely that the software bundle that came with the scanner has been
updated and usually they aren't since that software comes from third
parties. Such software often interferes with the function of the scanner in
XP unless it was designed specifically for XP.
If you have installed such software, that might be the issue. You might try
removing everything, the bundle, the scanner and start over, only installing
the drivers and trying to do the same in the other account(s) as I
originally described if it isn't recognized in the other account and see if
that resolves the issue.
