Best Chipset???

I was first leaning towards the new series of Q965,P965,and G954 chipsets due to guidence of my friend who builds intel comps..(for core 2 duo) Then i saw that the X975 had 2 PCI-E slots. The problem is I dont care about that, at no point do I plan to have 2 Vid cards..too much money. So leaving that out as a reason to buy the X975, is there any other reason I should buy it or should i go with the new chipsets, if so which one??

Unless youre looking to run a phyx card on top of a dual card setup or massively overclock, no.
Stick with P965 as it the best choice for your needs.

I said i wasnt going to run 2 cards, its too expensive, im just gonna run 1 lol , considering that should i still run with the P965 ?

with what you said you are going to run on it, yes the 965 is the best chipset for you.
