That may be so but, as a result, iTunes is not recognizing that my iPad is connecting. I am updating all of my out of date drivers and I have recharged my battery and turned the iPad and computer on/off. I have also tried a different USB port. So far, nothing will help. I'm going to update my other 3 drivers that require it and hope for the best. If not, I guess a phone call or trip to the Apple Store will follow.
